- What is a used goods purchase offer receipt?
- It is a written document that a resale shop, pawnbroker, estate buyer, or second-hand dealer gives to a seller when making an offer on used items. It lists each item, its condition, the quantity, and the price being offered. The seller can sign it to acknowledge the offer. Having a printed receipt protects both parties and is required by law in many jurisdictions where second-hand dealers must keep records of purchased goods.
- Is my data sent to any server?
- No. Every calculation and the PDF rendering happen entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript. Your seller names, item descriptions, and prices are never transmitted anywhere. The tool works offline once the page has loaded — you can even disconnect from the internet and it will still generate the PDF.
- What condition ratings are used, and what do they mean?
- The tool uses four standard ratings: Excellent — item looks and works as new, no visible wear; Good — minor signs of use, fully functional; Fair — noticeable wear or cosmetic damage, still functional; Poor — heavy wear, damage, or partial function. These are printed on the PDF next to each item so both buyer and seller agree on the condition at the time of the offer.
- Can I add my business logo?
- Yes. Upload a PNG or JPG logo using the logo field — it will appear in the PDF header alongside your business name. The image is read locally by your browser and embedded directly into the PDF. Logos work best when they are square or landscape-oriented with a transparent or white background.
- Can I use currencies other than US dollars?
- Yes. Use the Currency Symbol dropdown to select USD ($), EUR (€), GBP (£), JPY (¥), CAD (C$), AUD (A$), or no symbol at all if you prefer to write in the currency on the notes line. The symbol is applied to every price and the total on the PDF.
