- How is the compatibility score calculated?
- Partner 2 tries to predict each of Partner 1's 20 answers. Every correct prediction counts as 1 point. The total compatibility score is (correct predictions ÷ 20) × 100, expressed as a percentage. Category scores work the same way within each group of 5 questions — so if Partner 2 got 4 out of 5 Habit questions right, that category shows 80%. Scores of 75 % or above typically mean a strong shared understanding; 50–74 % is solid but with room to explore differences; below 50 % usually means some assumptions worth talking through.
- Can we swap roles — Partner 2 answers first and Partner 1 predicts?
- Absolutely. Just enter your names in reverse order when you start. The quiz works identically regardless of who goes first — "Partner 1" is simply the person whose answers are used as the reference, and "Partner 2" is the one doing the guessing. Many couples play twice and average the two scores for a fuller picture of mutual knowledge.
- What do the four categories measure?
- Preferences covers everyday tastes — food, social energy, downtime style. Values explores what matters most in life, money, and relationships. Habits looks at daily routines, sleep, exercise, and phone use. Future asks about long-term goals, lifestyle ambitions, and how you each picture life in ten years. Together they give a rounded picture of compatibility beyond just "do we like the same movies."
- Is this quiz scientifically validated?
- This is a fun self-discovery tool, not a clinical assessment. The questions are inspired by relationship research on shared understanding and partner knowledge — areas studied in relationship science as strong predictors of satisfaction — but the quiz is not a diagnostic test. Think of it as a structured conversation starter. Where you mismatch is often more valuable than the final number: each mismatch comes with a discussion prompt to spark a real conversation.
