- Are my children's photos private? Do they get uploaded anywhere?
- Completely private. This tool runs 100% in your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your photos are read locally from your device and converted into a PDF without ever being sent to a server. You can even use it offline after the page has loaded. We see nothing.
- What image formats are supported?
- JPEG and PNG files work directly in the PDF — they are embedded as-is for maximum quality. WEBP and other browser-supported formats are automatically converted to JPEG by drawing them onto a canvas before embedding. HEIC files from iPhones are converted by Safari on iOS/macOS automatically when you select them.
- How many photos can I add?
- There is no hard limit. In practice, each full-resolution photo adds a few hundred kilobytes to the PDF. 20–50 photos will produce a PDF of 5–20 MB, which prints beautifully. Very large collections (100+ photos) may take 30–60 seconds to generate depending on your device.
- Can I include artwork from multiple children in one book?
- Yes — that is one of the key features. Enter a different child's name for each artwork and check "Add section title pages." The tool will automatically group pages by child and insert a colourful divider page at the start of each child's section, making it easy to flip to any child's collection.
- What does the finished PDF look like?
- Each artwork gets its own full page. The image is scaled to fill most of the page while keeping its proportions. Below the image is the child's name, the artwork title, and the date — styled cleanly so the page looks like a proper art book or museum catalogue entry. Section divider pages have the child's name large and centred on a coloured background.
- Can I print this at a photo lab or at home?
- Yes. The PDF uses standard page sizes (A4 or US Letter) at 72 dpi layout, but the embedded images retain their original resolution. For best print quality, use photos taken at full resolution. Most photo printing services (Shutterfly, Snapfish, local print shops) can print from a PDF file directly.
